Yesterday evening, Fes News observed an atmosphere of optimism and satisfaction among Fes residents on Al-Othmaniya Street, following the launch of an initiative aimed at selling fish at affordable prices. The initiative seeks to enable citizens to purchase a variety of seafood products at prices that suit their purchasing power. This project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries as part of its efforts to ease financial burdens on Moroccan families during the holy month of Ramadan.
In an exclusive statement to Fes News, Hicham, the Marketing Director of the organizing company, explained that the initiative was launched in response to the public’s demand for reasonably priced seafood. Prices range between 17 and 100 MAD, covering a variety of fish such as Pagro, Merlan, Sole, Shrimp, as well as other seafood products like seafood mince and Rascasse.
The sales point located at Rond-Point Al-Sadaqa in Fes has witnessed a large turnout, with many citizens expressing their satisfaction with both the quality and pricing of the products. The Marketing Director also confirmed that the distribution is not limited to Fes but extends to Kenitra, Salé, Rabat, Temara, and Casablanca, ensuring that more people benefit from this initiative.
Several citizens shared their positive experiences, with one stating:
“This initiative is fantastic! The prices are reasonable, and the quality is excellent. I bought fish in the morning, and now I’m back to get more.”
Another resident remarked:
“Fish has become affordable for everyone thanks to this initiative. This is a great move, especially considering the rise in prices. We hope it will be extended to more neighborhoods in Fes.”
One customer added:
“We never found such prices before. Today, we were able to buy various types of high-quality fish at fair prices. We appreciate this effort and hope it continues throughout the year.”
