The new administration is adopting a strict approach to fighting corruption and manipulation of public interests, an official at the Moulay Yacoub regional commissionerate revealed in an exclusive statement to Fes News, stressing that any official or elected official found to be involved in suspicions of corruption will be brought to justice without any discrimination.
The source explained that the regional authorities are working according to strict directives aimed at imposing the rule of law and ending any illegal practices that may affect local development, noting that the era when personal interests prevailed over the public interest is over, and the new administration is committed to imposing transparency and accountability.
The employee stressed that labor will not allow any attempt to exploit influence or pressure institutions for personal gain, whether by politicians or other parties seeking to circumvent the laws, adding: “Anyone who tries to manipulate administrative files or use blackmail methods will face the necessary legal measures.”
The source stressed that this approach comes in the context of enhancing citizens’ confidence in the administration and protecting their rights away from any suspicious interventions, stressing that the labor deals with development files according to clear criteria that do not allow any illegal mediation or attempts to influence the decisions of the local authority.
He pointed out that these measures will limit the practices that some elected officials used to resort to in order to create crises and pressure the authorities, which will no longer be acceptable under the policy of firmness adopted by the new administration.
