Fès News obtained direct testimonies from affected citizens in one of the local communities in the Moulay Yacoub region, where they revealed exciting details about protests that are promoted under the cover of social demands, while their real goal is to enable a parliamentarian to achieve personal gains amid suspicions of corruption.
One of the witnesses told Fes News: “This parliamentarian is known for these methods, he incites people to protest and then later intervenes as a mediator to resolve the issue, as if he is the only one capable of delivering the demands of the population, but in fact, the real goal is to blackmail the authority and take advantage of the situation to achieve private interests.”
Another witness explained that many residents refused to participate in these protests after they realized that the matter is not related to real demands, but rather an attempt to impose one person as the sole interlocutor before the authorities, in order to pressure the administration and extract suspicious personal privileges.
One of those affected said: “We do not accept that we are being exploited to serve shady personal agendas. Problems should be resolved according to the law, not through dishonest moves aimed at achieving corrupt gains.”
Sources from within the commission pointed out that the authorities deal seriously with development files and reject any kind of blackmail or political bargaining, stressing that development issues are addressed according to clear and transparent procedures, without the need for mediation or suspicious interventions aimed at achieving personal benefits at the expense of the interest of the population.
