Parliamentarian Mohamed El Hujaira addressed a verbal question to the Minister of Interior on ways to improve and optimize the situation of intercity bus transportation, in light of the challenges facing this vital sector and its direct impact on citizens’ comfort and safety.
He stressed the need to take effective measures to ensure the modernization of the fleet and improve transportation conditions, reflecting the aspirations of citizens for safe and high-quality transportation services.
In this context, the parliamentarian called for clarifying the steps the ministry intends to take to address these imbalances, including the possibility of imposing stricter standards on transport companies, strengthening monitoring to ensure compliance with the laws in force, as well as exploring ways to stimulate investment in bus refurbishment and improving road transport infrastructure.
