Current projections indicate that Fez Saïss Airport is on track to achieve record-breaking numbers in 2025, with an estimated 2.3 to 2.5 million passengers by year-end. Flight operations are also expected to exceed 15,000, driven by expanded international connections to Europe and Africa, particularly in response to increased demand for flights linked to major events like the Africa Cup of Nations.
A senior airport official told Fes News that ongoing efforts are being made to enhance security and improve passenger experience, making the airport a preferred travel hub. The heightened security measures have positively contributed to the airport’s reputation for safety and comfort.
To meet growing demand, Fez Saïss Airport is continuously improving its facilities by expanding reception areas, enlarging departure and arrival halls, and strengthening human resources to provide top-quality services. Additionally, efforts are underway to increase flight connectivity with new destinations, further positioning the Fez-Meknes region as a key tourism and business hub.
Fez Saïss Airport is solidifying its role as a vital national and international aviation hub, contributing significantly to regional economic and tourism growth. As Morocco prepares to host major global events, the airport’s development is expected to play a crucial role in facilitating international travel and trade.
