As part of ongoing efforts to combat the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, the Judicial Police of the Beni Makada Security District arrested two individuals, aged 41 and 54, on February 5, 2025, for their suspected involvement in a drug trafficking network.
The suspects were apprehended in a popular neighborhood of the city while they were in the process of distributing psychoactive pills. A subsequent search at the scene led to the discovery of 2,430 narcotic pills of various types, which the suspects intended to distribute in the area.
Under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, an extensive judicial investigation has been launched to identify the scope of this criminal activity and apprehend other individuals involved in the network. The authorities are also working to uncover potential connections that may have contributed to the spread of these illegal substances.
This action reflects the commitment of security forces to eliminate the drug threat, which poses a serious risk to social security, and highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain public order and protect citizens from the harmful effects of such criminal activities.
