In an effort to strengthen the national judicial system amidst ongoing discussions about the strike law, the House of Representatives unanimously approved on Wednesday, February 5, the draft Law No. 73.24 amending Articles 74 and 75 of Law No. 38.15 concerning judicial organization.
Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Wahbi, announced during his presentation of the draft law that the aim of the amendment is to allow citizens to appeal rulings issued by commercial and administrative courts of first instance before specialized chambers of the ordinary Court of Appeal.
Wahbi emphasized that this amendment seeks to improve access to specialized courts by providing litigants with the opportunity to benefit from the ordinary Court of Appeals, which will help speed up procedures and reduce travel costs between courts. He further noted that this amendment is part of broader judicial reforms designed to bring more flexibility to the national judicial map.
Despite the ongoing debate surrounding the strike law, this step is seen as part of the broader efforts in the Kingdom to enhance justice and ensure the rights of citizens across various sectors.
