On Tuesday evening, February 4, police officers at the Tangier Security Directorate arrested a 58-year-old man on suspicion of being involved in a case related to fraud, forgery and the use of forgery.
According to the security communiqué, the arrest of the suspect followed the opening of a judicial investigation based on a complaint filed by a woman, accusing him of being involved in a scam, as he claimed that he could help her obtain a document as part of the procedures for preparing the housing certificate file. Based on research and investigations, he was identified and arrested.
During the search conducted at the suspect’s home, 942 identification documents were found, as well as 8 fake passports bearing other people’s names, along with a collection of photographs and copies of other administrative documents.
The suspect was taken into custody as part of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to uncover all the details of this case and determine the real motives behind the commission of these criminal acts.
