CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup Quarterfinal Draws Set for February 20, 2025

As part of the preparations for the resumption of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup competitions, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the quarterfinal draws for both tournaments will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 20, 2025, in the Qatari capital, Doha. The draw will be held at 2:00 PM GMT, attracting significant attention from clubs and fans across Africa.

This draw is a crucial milestone for both tournaments, as it will determine the pivotal matchups between some of the continent’s top teams. In the CAF Champions League, Moroccan side FAR Rabat is eagerly awaiting a potential clash with strong clubs such as Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Pyramids FC, or Algerian powerhouse CR Belouizdad. Meanwhile, Moroccan club RS Berkane will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup against leading contenders like Algeria’s CS Constantine, Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas, or Egypt’s Al Masry SC.

CAF also announced the dates for the first-leg matches in both competitions. The first-leg matches for the CAF Champions League will be held on April 1 and 2, 2025, while the Confederation Cup first-leg matches will take place on April 8 and 9 of the same month.

The fierce competition in the CAF Champions League continues with the following teams advancing: Al Ahly (Egypt), Al Hilal (Sudan), FAR Rabat (Morocco), Esperance Tunis (Tunisia), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Pyramids FC (Egypt), and CR Belouizdad (Algeria).

In the CAF Confederation Cup, the following clubs will compete: Zamalek (Egypt), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Al Masry SC (Egypt), CS Constantine (Algeria), RS Berkane (Morocco), Simba SC (Tanzania), Stellenbosch FC (South Africa), and USM Alger (Algeria).
