As part of ongoing security efforts to combat organized crime and enhance public safety, the Judicial Police Department of Casablanca, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), successfully arrested a 30-year-old man on Monday evening, January 27. The suspect was the subject of numerous national arrest warrants for crimes ranging from premeditated murder to illegal drug trafficking, including “Bofa,” cocaine, and prescription narcotics.
The arrest took place in the city of El Jadida, based on precise intelligence provided by the DGST. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect was active in the distribution of “Bofa,” cocaine, and psychotropic substances in the “Khayata” area near Berrechid. He was the subject of 49 national arrest warrants, including 46 issued by the Royal Gendarmerie and three by judicial police in the Rahma area of Casablanca and the Sidi Slimane Security Directorate in Settat.
Investigations also confirmed the suspect’s involvement in a premeditated murder that occurred on the night of January 11-12 during a dispute related to drug trafficking. The operation resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of money believed to be proceeds from the suspect’s criminal activities.
The suspect is currently in custody under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office as further investigations aim to uncover all criminal activities attributed to him. Efforts are also underway to apprehend other individuals involved in these illegal operations and trace the proceeds of their crimes.
