In a dramatic development, the judicial police at the regional police station in Ksar El Kebir arrested a father and his son, aged 64 and 31, on Thursday, January 23, on suspicion of being involved in fraudulent schemes under the pretense of mediating fake recruitment operations within the police force and among civil servants.
According to initial information, the suspects posed as alleged intermediaries in recruitment for the National Police and civil service positions, exploiting many people’s desire for government jobs. They deceived victims into paying large sums of money, ranging from 20,000 to 50,000 dirhams, in exchange for false promises of obtaining non-existent jobs.
During the preliminary investigation, the suspects were subjected to the necessary legal procedures, supervised by the competent public prosecutor. The goal of these actions is to uncover all the details and circumstances of the case, including identifying whether there are additional victims who fell prey to these criminal activities that threaten public safety.
Investigations are ongoing, with police services continuing to track the extent of this criminal network and uncovering all individuals involved in this illegal activity.
