Following the opening session of the 2025 judicial year, which included the royal authorization to commence the session, Mrs. Rachida Hlimi, the Attorney General of the Commercial Court of Appeal in Fes, made significant remarks regarding this prominent judicial event.
Hlimi emphasized that this occasion serves as an opportunity to shed light on the work carried out by the courts, including statistics related to the number of cases adjudicated and the number of requests filed by the public prosecution. She stated: “The opening of the judicial year is a longstanding judicial tradition, representing an occasion to engage with all stakeholders in the judicial field, the media, and the general public, which helps enhance transparency and awareness of our work.”
She further highlighted the achievements of the Commercial Court of Appeal in Fes, which, with the support of the public prosecution, achieved impressive results over the past year. She confirmed that all legal procedures related to commercial cases were executed meticulously, with a 100% success rate. Hlimi also underscored the role of the public prosecution in safeguarding the public economic order, particularly through legal interventions to protect businesses and facilitate the processes of notification and enforcement.
Hlimi touched upon the importance of continuous coordination between the public prosecution and the court’s presidency, stressing that this collaboration is key to achieving satisfactory results that meet the expectations of both judges and the public. She added: “We work hand-in-hand to deliver justice and protect economic rights in the Kingdom.”
In closing, Hlimi expressed optimism about the future of the judiciary in Morocco, affirming that the new judicial year will mark a new phase of achievements in the field of justice.
