Inauguration of Al-Nahda Secondary School: A Milestone in Educational Development in Fès

The Al-Nahda Secondary School was officially inaugurated in the rural commune of Al-Tayyib, Fès-Meknès, in the presence of the region’s Wali, educational officials, and local dignitaries. This initiative represents a strategic step toward enhancing the quality of education in the area.

With a budget of MAD 12,058,600 funded by the Regional Academy for Education and Training (AREF) in Fès-Meknès, the new institution is well-equipped to serve the community. Its facilities include 14 classrooms for general education, 8 for science education, 3 specialized rooms, a multimedia hall, a counseling space, a library, an administrative wing, and sports fields.

In a statement, the regional director of AREF emphasized that the establishment of Al-Nahda Secondary School aligns with an ambitious program aimed at strengthening the region’s educational infrastructure. The director highlighted initiatives to improve schooling conditions, including targeted support for baccalaureate students to boost success rates and enhance educational outcomes.

The director also announced the opening of 45 new educational institutions across the region for the upcoming academic year, 17 of which will be in Fès. To alleviate overcrowding, the academy is expanding school capacities, redistributing students among various institutions, and collaborating with private schools.

This project underlines the commitment of the academy and local authorities to ensure equitable access to education and elevate service standards. By bringing educational facilities closer to the rural population, students in Al-Tayyib can now pursue their secondary education locally, without the need to travel to distant areas.

Such efforts reflect a broader mission to promote spatial justice in the education sector and contribute to the sustainable development of the Fès-Meknès region.
