The Moroccan company “SOS NDD” has successfully secured the cleaning contract for the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, surpassing six other international companies in a competitive bidding process. The contract spans ten years and has an annual value exceeding 1.9 billion dirhams, reflecting strong confidence in the company’s ability to provide distinguished waste management services.
SOS NDD boasts extensive experience in this field, conducting cleaning operations in several Moroccan cities known for their high cleanliness standards, such as Mohammedia, Tiflet, and Oujda. Previously, local and international companies were responsible for cleaning Nouakchott, but they failed to meet their obligations as specified in the terms of reference, leading to the termination of their contracts.
This contract represents an important step for the company and efforts aimed at improving the environment of the Mauritanian capital, and it also reflects a trend towards enhancing cooperation between Morocco and Mauritania in various fields.
