The General Directorate of National Security announced that police officers from the Anfa district in Casablanca successfully apprehended two individuals on the evening of Friday, January 17, suspected of engaging in dangerous stunt driving that posed a direct threat to public safety and property.
According to security sources, the suspects were detained following a swift response to a widely circulated video showing their hazardous maneuvers on public roads. Prompt and effective field action led to the arrest of the drivers and the seizure of their vehicles.
A background check in the national security database revealed that one of the suspects was already wanted nationwide for suspected involvement in financial and economic crimes.
The vehicles have been impounded and transferred to the municipal depot, while the suspects have been placed in custody under judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office. Ongoing investigations aim to uncover all details of the case and identify any potential accomplices involved in these illegal activities.
This intervention is part of the continuous efforts by security forces to ensure road safety and deter dangerous behaviors that threaten public order.
