The Tetouan Police Department acted promptly and diligently in response to a video circulating on social media on Thursday, January 16, documenting a horrifying incident of violence against a woman and a minor inside a residence in Tetouan.
According to security sources, preliminary investigations and inquiries conducted by the police, following a complaint filed by the victim, revealed that the case is a criminal matter currently under investigation. Based on the available evidence, law enforcement officers successfully apprehended the suspect, an 80-year-old man.
In compliance with legal procedures, the suspect has been placed under judicial custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Investigations are ongoing to uncover all the circumstances and motives surrounding the incident, with the aim of bringing the perpetrator to justice and safeguarding the rights of the victims.
