“Fes News” had the privilege of covering a historic moment today with the signing of a cooperation protocol between the General Union of Workers in Fes and the Foreign Workers’ Association in Italy, aimed at enhancing cooperation between Fes and Italy. The event, attended by a number of officials and union representatives, resulted in an agreement designed to train and qualify Moroccan workers for integration into the Italian labor market through a joint training program.
This agreement follows a previous accord reached on March 28, 2024, which announced collaboration between manufacturers in the Sicily region and the local companies. The initiative revolves around preparing Moroccan professionals by equipping them with the necessary skills for the Italian job market, facilitating their safe and legal integration into Italian society.
This project is part of the vision of the General Union of Workers, which seeks to improve the conditions of Moroccan workers abroad, particularly in light of the economic and social challenges they face. The union focuses on improving wages, defending workers’ rights, and ensuring the respect of their acquired benefits, while continuously striving to provide training opportunities that align with global market demands.
Paolo, the president of the Foreign Workers’ Association, expressed that this project would have a significant positive impact on Moroccan workers. He highlighted that the collaboration between the two parties opens new opportunities for workers wishing to legally and safely work in Italy, ensuring professional working conditions that match their capabilities.
The national coordinator for the project also emphasized Morocco’s strong willingness to cooperate with Italy in training and employment, noting that the favorable conditions in Morocco reflect a solid commitment to growth and development. He concluded that this cooperation between the two countries creates mutually beneficial opportunities.
