During a press conference held on December 26, 2024, the President of the Fez Municipality, Abdel Salam El-Bekkali, unveiled details of significant development projects that aim to reshape the city in 2025. Highlighting advancements in infrastructure, transportation, education, and healthcare, El-Bekkali emphasized the municipality’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and ensuring a bright future for the city.
El-Bekkali announced that a series of major projects would be implemented next year, starting with road improvements. Key developments include the expansion and modernization of critical routes such as the Mazzer and Ain Cheggaf roads. The first phase of these projects is expected to be completed within the next 10 to 15 days, while the second phase will extend the upgrades to additional kilometers of roadways, streamlining traffic flow and reducing congestion.
The municipality is also prioritizing urban transport as part of its development agenda. El-Bekkali stressed the importance of advanced regional planning to improve transportation infrastructure.
