On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Fes-Meknes region organized a field visit to the Automotive Industry Training Institute (IFMIA Kenitra), benefiting a group of students from various educational institutions across the region’s provincial directorates.
This initiative is part of the regional program “Horizons of Guidance,” aimed at introducing students to professional opportunities in various productive sectors and raising their awareness of training pathways that align with labor market needs.
The visit involved 32 students from institutions in Fes, Moulay Yacoub, Taza, and Meknes, along with school directors and educational guidance staff overseeing the career guidance process during this pilot phase of the program.
The program began with a presentation by the Director of Studies at the training institute, who outlined the available specializations, basic and continuous training tracks, and the employment integration rates of the institute’s graduates, particularly in the automotive industry, which has become a key pillar of the national economy. The visit also included an exploratory tour of the institute’s facilities, including specialized workshops and laboratories, allowing participants to closely observe the techniques and professions of the sector.
The students showed great interaction during the visit, asking diverse questions about the nature of the training and the career opportunities it offers. The accompanying staff expressed their appreciation for the high level of organization and hospitality provided by the institute’s administration.
