RABAT – The General Directorate of National Security revealed that 93,415 candidates participated in the written tests for various police forces, conducted on Sunday, October 20, 2024, distributed across 221 examination centers throughout the Kingdom.

According to official statistics, candidates were distributed as follows: 49,026 for security guard positions, 21,448 for police inspectors, 14,447 for police officers, 1,254 for security officers, and 7,204 for police superintendents.

The examinations were supervised by 665 officials from central services to ensure the implementation of the new police recruitment charter’s provisions, which is based on merit, equal opportunities, and anti-cheating measures.

Monitoring procedures detected 50 attempted cheating cases, including 30 cases involving independent candidates and 20 cases involving police employees. All those involved were automatically disqualified from the competitions and referred to the judicial police for investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office. The Directorate also opened disciplinary files against the involved police employees.

It should be noted that the Directorate has adopted a new recruitment charter that includes initial selection based on obtained grades, before proceeding with written and oral tests, medical examinations, and physical fitness tests.

The high turnout for police recruitment competitions reflects young people’s growing interest in security positions that make serving the nation and citizens their primary goal.
