The clubs of the Second National Amateur Division Sahara Section held an important meeting on Saturday, October 19, 2024, to discuss recent developments related to the 2024-2025 sports season. This meeting came in the wake of the decision to modify the age system for youth teams of professional clubs practicing as amateurs, and the decision to postpone the start of this season’s championship.
After extensive discussion, the presidents and representatives of the clubs unanimously reached several important decisions:
- Declaring solidarity of the Second National Amateur Division Sahara Section clubs with their counterparts affected by the modification of the age system for youth teams of professional clubs practicing in the Second Amateur Division.
- Demanding an increase in the support allocated to Second National Amateur Division clubs in the annual grant from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
- Seeking to enable clubs to receive federation licenses from regional leagues instead of traveling to the federation headquarters.
- Requesting an increase in the number of balls provided by the National Amateur Football League to reach 20 balls instead of 10, and delivering them to clubs through regional leagues.
This statement was signed by a number of club presidents and officials, including President Mahmoud Masoudi, reflecting a broad consensus on these demands.
This move comes as part of the efforts of Second National Amateur Division Sahara Section clubs to improve their conditions and ensure effective participation in the upcoming sports season, amid challenges faced due to recent changes in regulations and organizational decisions.
