Police Forced to Use Their Weapon in Casablanca to Arrest Suspects

A police officer from the motorcycle unit of the Rahma security area in Casablanca was compelled to use his service weapon in a warning shot during the arrest of two individuals, aged 25 and 31, on the night of Thursday, October 10.

One of the suspects has a criminal record. This action came after the suspects refused to comply with police orders and threatened officers by throwing stones at them.

As the police patrol attempted to arrest the suspects for their alleged involvement in violent thefts and kidnappings using a motorcycle, they faced significant resistance from the individuals.

In response, the police officer fired a warning shot into the air to neutralize the threat posed by their actions.

This precautionary measure led to the successful arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of the motorcycle used in their criminal activities.

Currently, the suspects are undergoing judicial investigation under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s office to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case and to identify the criminal acts attributed to them.
