Fez, Morocco – In a significant move to enhance the health sector in the region, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Professor Khalid Ait Taleb, launched a series of new health services in the Fez-Meknes region on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The event was attended by the Wali (governor) of the Fez-Meknes region, along with a number of elected officials and civil society representatives, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the area.
According to the announced program, the visit began at 9:00 AM at the Hassan II University Hospital Center in Fez, where a group of new vital services was inaugurated. This center is considered one of the most important health institutions in the region, and the new services are expected to contribute to improving the quality of healthcare provided to citizens.
Afterwards, the official delegation moved to the Sidi Hrazem Rural Health Center, where new health services were launched aimed at improving access to healthcare in rural areas.
The visit concluded with the inauguration of new services at the Sanhaja Rural Health Center in Sefrou, further strengthening the primary healthcare network in the region.
These initiatives come as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to improve health infrastructure and expand the range of medical services throughout the kingdom, with a particular focus on rural and remote areas.
The new facilities are expected to help alleviate pressure on the main hospitals in the region and improve the quality of healthcare provided to citizens in the Fez-Meknes region.
