Royal Air Maroc has announced the cancellation of all its flights to and from Brussels scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, due to a planned national demonstration involving various sectors in Belgium.
In a statement, the company explained that this measure is being taken in response to a general strike organized by the security, cleaning, and hotel sectors in Brussels. This strike will result in the cancellation of all flights departing from Belgium’s two main airports: Brussels Zaventem Airport and Charleroi Airport.
Royal Air Maroc confirmed that it will be forced to cancel flights AT678/AT679 and AT832/AT833 to and from Brussels. The company stated that affected passengers will be transferred to alternative flights.
The airline added that passengers whose contact information has been updated in their booking file will receive emails and SMS messages confirming their new flight arrangements. All passengers are encouraged to review the status of their flights and verify or update their contact information in the “Manage Booking” section of the company’s website.
For passengers affected by the cancellations who do not wish to travel on the proposed alternative flights, Royal Air Maroc offers two options:
- Free rebooking, subject to seat availability in the same class, within 7 days of the original flight date.
- Refund of the ticket value to the original payment method.
