In a notable move, Mr. Youssef Baba, First Deputy President of the Moulay Yacoub Community Council, has submitted an official request to include a new item on the agenda for the regular session of October 2024.
In a letter addressed to the President of the Moulay Yacoub Community Council, dated August 7, 2024, the proposed item concerns “deliberation on withdrawing the authorization to exploit public community property for the construction and operation of a traditional mineral bath with international standards.”
Mr. Baba based his request on Article 40 of Organizational Law 113.14 related to communities, emphasizing the importance of discussing this topic in the context of the council’s upcoming session.
This request comes amid the community’s interest in organizing and developing public facilities, especially those related to tourism and recreation, while ensuring the application of international standards in this field.
Local circles in Moulay Yacoub are awaiting reactions to this proposal, whether it will be effectively included in the agenda of the upcoming session, and what decisions may result from it that could affect the tourism and economic landscape in the region.
It’s worth noting that this initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance public services and align them with international standards, potentially impacting the local tourism sector and economic development in Moulay Yacoub.
