Casablanca Security Department Refutes Claims of Negligence in Handling “Dar Al-Aman” Incidents

Casablanca, Morocco – The Casablanca Security Department has strongly denied allegations that recently spread on social media regarding police inaction in dealing with vandalism incidents in the “Dar Al-Aman” neighborhood.

In an official statement issued today, the department clarified that the claims appearing in a viral video circulating online lack accuracy and distort the facts. The department affirmed that the incident in question, which involved stone-throwing exchanges and damage to private property, was seriously addressed by the security services of the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi district.

The department revealed that investigations led to the arrest of the main suspect the day following the incident. The suspect was subsequently subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.

In the context of highlighting its ongoing efforts to combat crime, the Security Department pointed out that its interventions in the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi area during the current year have resulted in the arrest of 36 individuals, including 21 minors, for similar crimes.

The department emphasized its commitment to enhancing security and reassuring citizens, affirming its continued intensification of field security interventions to confront all forms of crime and ensure community safety.

This statement comes as part of the security authorities’ keenness on transparency and direct communication with citizens, and to counter rumors that might negatively affect the general sense of security in the city.

The Casablanca Security Department also stressed that it remains vigilant and responsive to all security concerns raised by citizens. It encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities through official channels rather than relying on unverified social media posts.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by urban security services in managing public perceptions and combating misinformation in the age of social media. It also underscores the importance of prompt and transparent communication between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve.
