Police elements in Meknes were able, on Monday, September 2, 2024, to arrest a person and his father based on accurate information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. They are suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The two suspects were arrested at the entrance to the city of Meknes, after arriving in a car coming from one of the cities in the north of the Kingdom.
The search operation resulted in the discovery of 1,490 narcotic pills in their possession, including 1,190 hallucinogenic pills of the type “Ecstasy” and 300 narcotic medical pills of the type “Rivotril”.
The two suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity, in addition to arresting the rest of the participants and contributors to the commission of these criminal acts.
