Two years after signing a petition, residents of Ain Abdoun in Taounate are still waiting to connect to potable water

More than two years after signing a petition and submitting it to the National Water Office and local and regional authorities, the residents of Ain Abdoun roundabout in Beni Walid community in Taounate region are still waiting for the response of these parties to activate the direct connection to the drinking water network.

According to a citizen from the Ain Abdoun roundabout, the petition signed by the residents of the roundabout aims to intervene with the National Water Office to connect their homes to the water network, especially since the Ain Abdoun roundabout is adjacent to the community center and belongs to it according to the latest electoral division.

The same source added that the water crisis that previously plagued the roundabout led to the establishment of watering cans in the village, but the lack of effectiveness of these watering cans made the demand to connect the houses to the water network an urgent necessity, especially since the houses are close to each other and are only one and a half kilometers away from the “Villages”.

The speaker stressed that His Majesty the King’s speech was clear on the water issue, noting that the response of the concerned authorities to the petition of the villagers comes within the framework of supporting the official directives related to the implementation of the water policy, and the need not to procrastinate in the open workshops and programs.
