Ain Ashboun in Taza region suffers from thirst crisis, residents demand the intervention of the concerned authorities

The Ain Ashboun roundabout, part of the Bourd community in the Taza region, is suffering from a severe crisis in the availability of drinking water, forcing its residents to travel long distances in search of water sources.

According to local sources, this crisis has greatly affected the daily life of the residents, who face increasing difficulties in securing their basic water needs.

Despite the efforts made by the National Initiative for Human Development, which oversaw a project aimed at providing villages with potable water through the distribution of water tanks, many villages, including Ain Ashboun, still suffer from a severe water shortage, which has not been sufficient to address the issue of water scarcity in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Followers of local affairs in Borde emphasize that the current situation reflects a lack of water resources management strategies and the absence of long-term solutions to face this crisis, as the current situation requires an urgent and comprehensive response from the concerned authorities to ensure the regular and sustainable provision of water to the residents of the Ain Ashboun roundabout.
