The Moroccan city of Agadir is witnessing intensive security preparations ahead of the final match of the Throne Cup for the 2022/2023 season, which will bring together Raja Sports and the Royal Army at the city’s Grand Stadium on Monday, July 1, 2024.
As part of the heightened security measures, thousands of security personnel from various agencies have been deployed, including police patrols, law enforcement forces, and auxiliary forces in their various formations and field units. Hundreds of police vehicles, in addition to technical, technological and logistical means, were also deployed to ensure comprehensive security for the important sporting event.
These intensive security preparations come as part of the security and safety protocol that the General Directorate of National Security (GDNS) has put in place specifically to accompany this final match.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 pm Ajadir time, with Raja looking to win the title to cap an exceptional season, while the Royal Army is looking to make up for losing the league title in the last two rounds.
This final is a major sporting event in Morocco and is expected to witness a large crowd, which explains the great security interest in it to ensure that the match takes place in a safe and smooth atmosphere.
