A Digital Observatory Confirms Fabrication of “Fez Crowds” Image to Exaggerate Digital Deception Phenomenon

On the evening of Wednesday, October 1, 2025, “Vik News Digital Content Observatory” revealed the falseness of an image widely circulated on social media platforms, accompanied by hashtags claiming it was from the city of Fez, with the aim of using it in the context of the ongoing debate about “digital deception.”

The observatory confirmed in its report that the image, showing a street densely packed with large crowds at night, is fabricated and has no connection to Morocco. It pointed out that certain parties deliberately use such misleading content to exaggerate the scale of social phenomena and create a false impression among the public.

The circulation of this fabricated image coincides with ongoing investigations into the exploitation of minors in acts of vandalism after being lured through digital applications. Promoters of this image seek to associate it with these events to mislead followers into believing there is a broad response to these calls, which digital verification processes refute.
