“Phantom Invoices” Network Dismantled by Courts in Fez
In a major judicial story, the newspaper Al-Ahdath Al-Maghribia reported on the issuance of final verdicts by the Financial Crimes Prosecution Office at the Fez Court of First Instance. The court convicted 16 defendants belonging to a criminal network specializing in forging invoices, creating shell companies for money laundering, and engaging in suspicious commercial activities. The court showed no leniency, sentencing all defendants to prison terms ranging from one to three years. The rulings also included financial fines for five other defendants.
