France-Morocco Crime Link: Two Charged with Murder in Organized Crime Case Following Death of Guyanese Man Frank

Nearly three years after the mysterious death of Frank, a 35-year-old Guyanese national who fell from the sixth floor of a hotel in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne, France), French authorities have charged two individuals with murder within an organized group, according to Le Parisien. The suspects are now in pre-trial detention.

A Mysterious Death Unveils a Drug Network

Frank’s fatal fall occurred during the night of August 22–23, 2022. He succumbed to his injuries two days later at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. A subsequent search of his apartment uncovered 660 grams of cocaine and €4,000 in cash, raising strong suspicions of his involvement in an international drug trafficking ring.

Investigation Unfolds Across Borders

The case took a new turn when investigators identified one of the suspects as having fled to Morocco, potentially triggering cross-border cooperation between French and Moroccan security agencies. An anonymous tip also led to the identification of two additional suspects linked to the killing.

On June 24, 2025, French police carried out a major raid in Vitry-sur-Seine, arresting three suspects and seizing a cache of weapons, including a submachine gun, along with over €30,000 in cash.

Organized Crime and Drug Trafficking Charges

The judicial classification of the case has now escalated to organized crime, with charges including murder, formation of a criminal gang, drug trafficking, and illegal possession of firearms. The complexity and international dimension of the case have prompted heightened scrutiny from law enforcement.

Authorities are continuing investigations to determine the roles of all suspects involved, while awaiting the outcome of judicial cooperation with Morocco to pursue the fugitive believed to have fled there.
