In an effort to highlight the issues faced by the Bord commune in the Taza region, Nizar Baraka, the Minister of Equipment and Water, met with MP Munir Shentir and the President of Bord’s local council, along with other council members, in a meeting held at the House of Representatives. The aim was to discuss the region’s ongoing challenges in critical sectors such as road infrastructure and drinking water supply.
According to local sources from within the commune, the meeting seriously addressed the issue of road infrastructure, which has become a real dilemma for the population. The deteriorating roads have limited freedom of movement and directly impacted the local economy. Despite previous promises to implement road rehabilitation projects, the reality still shows significant delays in their execution. This delay negatively affects the daily lives of citizens, making travel difficult and unsafe, which exacerbates their suffering.
The problem is not limited to roads but also includes the issue of drinking water, which is worsening due to the lack of sustainable solutions. Other local sources have confirmed that many residents of the commune suffer from frequent water cuts, forcing them to rely on unsafe sources to meet their basic needs.
While the residents of Bord commune are eagerly awaiting urgent interventions to ensure safe roads and sustainable drinking water, the big question remains: Will these promises remain confined to meetings, or will the reality improve in a way that genuinely impacts the lives of the people?
