His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, chaired an audience today, Monday afternoon, at the Royal Palace in Rabat, where he received several new ambassadors appointed to head the Kingdom’s diplomatic missions in various countries and organizations. During the meeting, His Majesty handed them their royal decrees of appointment, in a move reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its regional and international diplomatic presence.
The appointed ambassadors include:
- Mr. Ahmed Reda Shami, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the European Union
- Mr. Othman El Firdous, Ambassador of Morocco to the Republic of Ivory Coast
- Mr. Majed Halim, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Malaysia
- Mr. Omar Amghar, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the Republic of Serbia
- Mr. Ridouane El Husseini, Ambassador of Morocco to the Republic of Indonesia
- Mr. Younes El Dighoussi, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Saint Lucia
- Ms. Najwa El Barraq, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the Republic of Congo
- Ms. Bouthaina El Kerdoudi, Ambassador of Morocco to Bangladesh
- Mr. Abdelkader El Jammousi, Ambassador of the Kingdom to the Republic of Cameroon
- Mr. Mohamed Aboumaraten, Ambassador of Morocco to the Republic of Niger
- Ms. Fatiha El Ayadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Denmark
- Mr. Mustafa Alami Al Flouss, Ambassador of Morocco to the Central African Republic
Following these appointments, several new ambassadors took the oath before His Majesty the King, in full adherence to Moroccan diplomatic traditions. This included Omar Amghar, Ridouane El Husseini, Younes El Dighoussi, Najwa El Barraq, Bouthaina El Kerdoudi, Abdelkader El Jammousi, Mohamed Aboumaraten, Fatiha El Ayadi, and Mustafa Alami Al Flouss.
The royal reception took place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, along with the Royal Chamberlain, Mr. Sidi Mohamed El Alaoui.
These appointments come as part of a renewed diplomatic strategy in which the Kingdom seeks to enhance its foreign representation and defend its strategic interests worldwide, amidst rapid international transformations and increasing regional challenges.
