Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his deep appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco for its support in restoring electricity to the Andalusia region, following the widespread outage that affected parts of Spain and Portugal on Monday.
In a press statement on Monday evening, Sánchez stated that “Morocco contributed through a temporary electrical connection, helping accelerate the restoration of power in the Andalusia region,” highlighting the importance of this support in managing the sudden outage.
The Spanish Prime Minister explained that investigations are still underway to determine the real causes behind the incident, assuring that there are no threats to public security resulting from the blackout. He added that the National Security Council will hold an additional meeting to assess the situation and implement necessary measures to ensure the stability of the electrical grid in the future.
