The First Instance Court of Temara postponed, on Wednesday, the trial of the young woman accused of slapping a caïd (local authority official). The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 3rd.
Speaking to “Le Site info,” the suspect’s lawyer indicated that his client was also physically and verbally assaulted by the caïd and had to defend herself, as evidenced by the video circulating on social media.
The incident dates back to last week, when a young man, whose merchandise had been seized, went to the administrative annex accompanied by some family members, before the situation escalated and the altercation took place.
The caïd accuses the young man and his family of storming his office and physically assaulting him.
