The elements of the judicial police at the Fez Security Directorate, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested a man and a woman in the early hours of Tuesday, January 14, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to drug trafficking, psychotropic substances, and the sale of alcoholic beverages without a license.
The female suspect was apprehended at the train station in Fez after arriving on a train from one of the northern cities of the kingdom. A search revealed that she was in possession of 9,700 ecstasy pills. Ongoing investigations and inquiries led to the identification of a second individual suspected of being linked to this criminal activity. He was arrested near the train station, where 25 bottles of alcoholic beverages were found in his home.
Both suspects have been subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine any further potential connections to this criminal activity and to uncover all criminal acts attributed to them.
