As part of the national vaccination campaign, the Governor of Al-Hajeb Province oversaw a coordination meeting in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Fez-Meknes Regional Directorate.
The meeting, attended by the city official (Basha) and prominent health professionals, highlighted efforts to strengthen collective immunity and protect children’s health. In his opening remarks, the Basha emphasized the need for collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the campaign’s success, stressing that safeguarding children’s health is a shared responsibility.
A regional health planning official presented a comprehensive overview of the national vaccination program, underscoring the importance of reaching unvaccinated children to combat the risks of measles outbreaks. Additionally, the lead nurse at the urban health center in Taujdate shared detailed insights into the campaign’s progress and strategies for enhancing its effectiveness.
The meeting included a discussion that provided an opportunity to exchange views and address questions related to vaccination and immunization programs. Participants highlighted the importance of combating misinformation about vaccines and raising public awareness of the proven success of the national immunization program over decades.
