This morning, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, the extraordinary session of the Moulay Yacoub Municipal Council was convened in the council’s meeting hall. The session, held upon the request of the Governor of the Moulay Yacoub Province, was dedicated to discussing the municipality’s budget for the year 2025.
Although the meeting began at 10:30 AM, it could not proceed due to the lack of the required legal quorum. Only eight members currently serving attended the session, while Article 37, Paragraph 2, of Organizational Law No. 113.14 governing municipalities requires more than half of the serving members to be present for an extraordinary session to be valid.
In accordance with the provisions of this law, the session was rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 10:30 AM. At that time, the meeting will take place regardless of the number of members present, as stipulated by the law.
