The address focused on the establishment of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad and the Mohammedan Authority for Moroccans Living Abroad.

The gathering, which included representatives of the Moroccan diaspora in the United States, civil society actors, and experts, provided an opportunity to delve into the primary objectives outlined by the King. These initiatives aim to institutionalize and strengthen the relationship between Moroccans living abroad and their home country. One of the primary functions highlighted was facilitating communication between diaspora members and Moroccan government institutions, ensuring access to support in areas such as education, healthcare, and administrative processes.

Discussions also focused on the CCME’s role in representing the interests of Moroccans abroad and enhancing their participation in Moroccan public life, particularly concerning national and strategic issues. Additionally, the Mohammedan Authority’s contributions to promoting Moroccan identity, Arabic language, and cultural activities were emphasized as essential for keeping the diaspora connected to their heritage.

Several challenges faced by Moroccans abroad were brought to light, including the need to improve their social and professional conditions and streamline administrative processes related to nationality and documentation. Participants highlighted the importance of integrating Moroccan professionals abroad into sustainable development projects within Morocco, leveraging their expertise in fields such as science, technology, and investment.
