Tangier Hosts the Closing Ceremony of the 16th Edition of the “MEDays” Forum

On December 1, 2024, the city of Tangier witnessed the conclusion of the 16th edition of the “MEDays” Forum. Younes Sekkouri, Morocco’s Minister of Economic Integration, Small Enterprises, Employment, and Skills, delivered a pivotal closing speech that addressed themes of resilience, sovereignty, and international cooperation.

In his address, Sekkouri highlighted the New Development Model launched under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI. He described it as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at achieving inclusivity and governance flexibility. This strategic framework, he noted, positions Morocco as a leader in building communities capable of adapting to future shocks and crises.

The minister posed critical questions about preparedness for upcoming global challenges, such as pandemics, emphasizing that the priority lies not only in proactive planning but also in fostering resilient and robust communities. Sekkouri underscored the importance of social dialogue and structural reforms as fundamental pillars for advancing development and achieving Morocco’s ambitious objectives.
