The National Union of Justice, affiliated with the Democratic Confederation of Labor, has announced the organization of a national strike and protest stands on October 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10, 2024. This comes as part of its open escalating struggle program to secure the fair and legitimate demands of the court clerk body.
This was stated in a communiqué issued by the union’s national office following its meeting on September 28, 2024, at the regional union headquarters in Mohammedia. The statement began with a reading of Al-Fatiha in memory of the flood victims’ souls and condemned the crimes committed by the Zionist occupation in both southern Lebanon and Palestine.
The statement emphasized the suffering of the Moroccan people from the massive price increases resulting from unpopular and undemocratic policies, pointing to the tragedies caused by natural disasters due to marginalization and lack of basic infrastructure.
The statement also proudly recorded the resounding success achieved by the strike stages carried out by justice workers throughout September, which formed a natural response to the language of threats to cut off livelihoods.
The statement demanded the necessity of unifying wages and compensations between court clerks, engineers, and judges, asserting that it is unacceptable to settle the financial and administrative situation of one component of the judicial administration at the expense of another.
The statement called on the government presidency to open a serious and responsible dialogue leading to solutions based on the agreed-upon demands with the Ministry of Justice, which it considered a minimum to preserve judicial peace.
In conclusion, the national office decided to correspond with union partners in the sector to work on organizing a unified national march, considering that “the court clerk’s office is our common home.”
