Dakhla, Morocco, September 29, 2024 – The Moroccan city of Dakhla witnessed this Sunday morning the launch of two of the most important global competitions in water sports, heralding a week full of excitement and high-level competition.
Event Details:
Dakhla is hosting the 14th edition of the “Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan – Global Kitesports Association (GKA) 2024” Kitesurfing World Cup, and the 3rd edition of the “Global Wingsports Association (GWA) 2024” Wingfoil World Cup. The events will continue from September 29 to October 6, 2024.
International Participation:
These global events bring together athletes from 17 different countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, and Morocco. A total of 70 athletes, among the world’s best kitesurfers and wingfoilers, are participating in the competitions.

Men: Airton Cozzolino, James Carew, Matchu Lopes, as well as Moroccan champions Ali Bekkali and Maji Mounim.
Women: Capucine Delannoy and Camille Losserand.
In Wingfoil:
Men: Malo Guenole, Cash Berzolla, Wesley Brito, and Hugo Marin.
Women: Nia Suardiaz, Elena Moreno, and Bowien Van der Linden.

The total prize money for these competitions amounts to 40,000 euros, confirming the importance of this event in the international water sports calendar.
