The regions hit by natural disasters in Morocco are witnessing substantial progress in reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts. Government sectors have accelerated their work to address citizens’ needs and ensure a return to normalcy.
Recently, approximately 55,000 building permits have been issued, reflecting the intensive efforts to expedite reconstruction. To support affected families, 4,932 new homes have been constructed, and the fourth installment of financial aid, amounting to 20,000 dirhams, has been distributed to families advancing in the building process. This support is a crucial step in facilitating reconstruction, and the government is encouraging families to accelerate construction to maximize the benefits of this funding.
In the education sector, 111 schools have been prepared to welcome students, with plans to add 110 more schools in the near future. These measures are part of a broader strategy to enhance educational infrastructure and provide a safe, sustainable learning environment for children.
In healthcare, the construction of 42 new health centers has been completed and will be opening soon, boosting healthcare services in the affected regions. Infrastructure improvements include the upgrading of 54 rural pathways and significant progress in national road rehabilitation, which will ease transportation and mobility between areas.
Additionally, livestock and barley have been distributed to farmers to support the continuity of agricultural production in these areas. Cleanup efforts have achieved 95% completion, demonstrating the government’s commitment to restoring affected areas as swiftly as possible.
