Rabat – The Supreme Council of Ulema has announced that its 33rd regular session will be held on July 5 and 6, 2024, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, with the permission of the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Council.
According to a statement issued by the Council, this session comes in implementation of the royal decrees regulating the work of the scientific councils, and it will be held after the Asr prayer at the General Secretariat of the Council in the Al Irfane district of Rabat.
During this session, the Council will discuss several important issues, including:
- Monitoring the implementation of the communication plan from organizational and scientific perspectives.
- Launching the Council’s official website and discussing digital communication mechanisms.
- Reviewing ongoing research and studies, with a focus on resuming the publication of the Council’s journals.
- Continuing efforts to revive Islamic heritage, with a focus on the authentication of the book “Al-Shifa” by Qadi Iyad.
- Evaluating the work of the Fatwa Scientific Body and the Sharia Committee for Participatory Finance.
It is noted that this session is part of the ongoing efforts of the Supreme Council of Ulema to enhance its role in serving religious and scientific issues in the Kingdom, under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The outcomes of this session are expected to contribute to the development of the Council’s work and enhance its role in Moroccan society, especially in light of the contemporary challenges facing the Islamic nation.
