National Security Launches Pioneering Humanitarian Initiative: Home Visits to Retired Patients as Part of Annual Excellence Ceremony

Rabat – Exclusive

Following the directives of Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, a nationwide campaign of home visits has been launched for retired police officers suffering from chronic illnesses and unable to travel. This initiative is part of the new cycle of the Annual Excellence Ceremony, which began on November 18, 2025, at the Mohammed V Theater in Rabat.

Joint committees composed of regional security officials and representatives of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Social Welfare of National Security Employees have visited dozens of retirees at their homes in the cities of:
Tangier, Tetouan, Fes, Meknes, Oujda, Al Hoceima, Settat, Beni Mellal, Agadir, Laayoune, Errachidia, Nador, Taza, Ouarzazate, El Jadida, and Safi.
The second phase will soon continue to cover the remaining cities and provinces.

Initiative Objective: “Leaving No One Behind in the Security Family”

This humanitarian initiative aims to:

  • Check on the health and living conditions of sick retirees who were unable to attend the official honoring ceremonies.
  • Rebuild bridges of communication and loyalty with those who devoted their lives to serving the nation and citizens.
  • Listen directly to their personal needs and demands, and fully convey them to the competent authorities within the General Directorate of National Security and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Welfare for consideration according to legal and organizational capabilities.

A Continuing Message of Loyalty and Solidarity

These visits culminate the annual excellence ceremonies organized by security services at regional and local levels, which honored thousands of active and retired personnel as well as their academically outstanding children, emphasizing that values of solidarity and mutual support are not mere slogans but daily practices within the National Security family.

Through this initiative, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi reaffirms that “belonging to the National Security family remains lifelong,” and that loyalty to those who have spent years guarding citizens’ security remains an institutional and moral duty that does not end at retirement.
