The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation, based on precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, succeeded in dismantling a criminal network specializing in international drug trafficking and smuggling, using Casablanca beaches as a launch point for smuggling operations via inflatable boats.
Operation Results:
- Arrest of 8 individuals (including two women) aged between 32 and 60 years, in both Casablanca and Kenitra
- Seizure of 390 packages of cannabis resin with a total weight of approximately 16 tons
- Seizure of 2.5 million dirhams in cash
- Seizure of 6 fast inflatable boats + 8 powerful marine engines
- 4 large fuel barrels + air pumps + GPS devices + mobile phones
The arrested individuals were placed under police custody under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office, while investigations continue to identify all national and international extensions of this network and arrest the remaining accomplices.
This operation is considered one of the largest quantitative seizures of cannabis resin within national territory in recent years, and confirms once again the vigilance and effectiveness of Moroccan security services in combating transnational organized crime.
