Marrakech – November 25, 2025
The head of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Dakar, Ibrahima Senghor, praised on Tuesday in Marrakech the pioneering role that Morocco plays, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in the field of international security cooperation, confirming that the Kingdom has become a “true reference” for Southern countries in this area.
Mr. Senghor stated, in a declaration to the Maghreb Arab Press Agency following his talks with the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Mr. Abdellatif Hammouchi, on the sidelines of the 93rd session of the Interpol General Assembly currently being held in Marrakech (November 24-27, 2025), that Morocco has made “great strides” in security cooperation thanks to His Majesty the King’s proactive vision.
He added that the Kingdom constitutes an exemplary model in terms of advanced equipment, technological and digital transformation, as well as the level of police training, making the strengthening of ties with Southern countries a necessary and strategic matter.
The Senegalese official also commended the distinguished cooperation between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Rabat and Dakar, particularly in the exchange of data and information, considering that this reflects the depth of fraternal and historical relations between Morocco and Senegal.
He expressed his great pride in Morocco’s hosting of the largest global gathering of law enforcement leaders, confirming that the current session – in which more than 800 delegates from 179 countries are participating, including 82 security directors – represents an exceptional opportunity to strengthen cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, fighting international fraud centers, enhancing Interpol’s capabilities, and consolidating the role of women in police forces.
