Marrakech – Starting tomorrow, Monday, attention turns to the city of Marrakech, which is preparing to host the 93rd session of the General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organization “Interpol,” in an exceptional security and international event that consolidates the Kingdom’s position as a pivotal actor in the global security system.
High-level delegations representing 195 countries worldwide will participate in this session, in a meeting considered the largest of its kind in terms of international security cooperation, where participants are expected to discuss sensitive files related to combating terrorism, organized crime, irregular migration, and cybercrime, in addition to strengthening mechanisms for information exchange between security agencies.
The choice of Marrakech to host this major security summit reflects international confidence in the Moroccan experience and its ability to ensure the organization of global events of this magnitude, as well as the successes achieved by security agencies in dismantling criminal networks and strengthening international coordination in recent years.
General sessions are expected to witness high-level meetings and in-depth discussions on ways to develop the Interpol system and update its digital tools, in addition to electing important positions within the organization.
With this event, the city of Marrakech transforms into a global security capital for several days, in an international milestone that confirms Morocco’s growing importance as a key partner in enhancing international security and peace.
